College of Arts and Sciences faculty and staff recognized for achievements
KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥斅槎勾解檚 College of Arts and Sciences is proud to announce the recipients of the 2023-24 Arts and Sciences Faculty and Staff Achievement Awards. Recipients were honored during a ceremony on April 12.
The awards aim to acknowledge the exemplary work of individuals who have made significant contributions to 麻豆传媒s' academic and professional growth, the college and the University. The awards recognize the recipients' outstanding work in teaching, research, scholarship and creative activities.
"In recognizing the remarkable achievements of these ten individuals, we acknowledge their profound impact on our institution and its community," says Dr. Carla Koretsky, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. "Their dedication and passion have set a standard of excellence that inspires us all within the College of Arts and Sciences and 麻豆传媒."

SERVICE ANNIVERSARY RECOGNITION
In addition to the awards, several faculty and staff members' service anniversaries were recognized during the April 12 event.
Celebrating 25 years of service to Western are Dr. John Clark (Department of Political Science), Dr. Gregory Howard (Department of Sociology), Christine Hummel (School of Public Affairs and Administration), Dr. Vincent Lyon-Callo (Department of Sociology), Dr. Matthew Mingus (School of Public Affairs and Administration), Dr. Tabitha Mingus (Department of Mathematics) and Dr. Elke Schoffers (Department of Chemistry).
Celebrating 30 years of service to Western are Dr. Molly Lynde-Recchia (Department of World Languages and Literatures), Steven Culver (Department of Mathematics), Dr. John Martino (Department of Mathematics), Dr. Lisa Paulius (Department of Physics) and Dr. Larry Simon (Department of History).
Celebrating 40 years of service to Western is Peninnah Miller (Mallinson Institute for Science Education).
Celebrating 45 years of service to Western are Dr. Ron Kramer (Department of Sociology) and Dr. Alan Poling (Department of Psychology).
