Short-term and focused personal counseling

A counselor works with you to develop a treatment plan that will best meet your needs based on the nature of the concerns presented. Because each Â鶹´«Ã½ has different needs, the number of visits varies from person to person--typically six to eight sessions. Some Â鶹´«Ã½s may benefit from seeing a counselor just one or two times and others may need to see a counselor over a longer period of time.

If you would benefit from longer-term services, you may be given a referral to other Â鶹´«Ã½ or community care providers.

After-hours assistance

After regular office hours, if you are experiencing an emergent or crisis situation please call Gryphon Place at 211.

If you feel you need to meet with a mental health counselor, you may do so at the Borgess Medical Center Emergency Room at 1521 Gull Road. Borgess Medical Center Emergency Room can be reached at (269) 226-4815. Borgess provides immediate psychiatric assessment and treatment 24 hours a day.
