WMU community members who take an at-home COVID-19 test and receive a positive result should follow the guidance provided by a primary care provider and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:
Get ample rest, treat symptoms and : trouble breathing, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, new confusion, inability to wake or stay awake, pale, gray, or blue-colored skin, lips, or nail beds, depending on skin tone. If any of those conditions exist, seek emergency care.
Consult the for current recommendations for isolation and recovery
Seek emergency care if symptoms worsen or if breathing difficulty develops
Those with a positive at-home test result:
Do not need to report the result to the health center
Do not need to schedule an appointment with a Sindecuse provider unless they are concerned about symptoms that don’t resolve with over-the-counter self-care after a 5-7 day period
