Professional and Graduate Positions
Hall Director
WMU hall directors are full-time, live-in professionals with a 12-month contract. They supervise staffs from ten to 24 resident assistants/learning community assistants and at least one graduate assistant. Residence halls are all coed and range from 300 to 7000 Â鶹´«Ã½s. Primary Hall Director responsibilities include supervising staff, creating a positive living and learning environment, supporting academic success, adjudicating Â鶹´«Ã½ conduct, responding to Â鶹´«Ã½ issues and administrating their hall. This is a five-year terminal position. A master's degree in higher education or related field is required.

Graduate Assistant Hall Director
Â鶹´«Ã½ graduate assistant hall directors are part-time live-in professionals responsible for assisting the hall director. Graduate assistants are primarily responsible for advising hall/apartment government and supervising the front desk, including training, hiring and scheduling Â鶹´«Ã½ workers. Graduate assistant hall directors also provide the main thrust in setting the hall/apartment complex’s program agenda and have an opportunity to gain exposure by working on departmental committees. A bachelor’s degree is required for this position.
