Eric Thompson

Eric Thompson is the lead IT Solution Architect for Manufacturing Systems at Kimberly-Clark Corporation. He is responsible for the overall design leadership of system implementations and integrating business, information, and technology architecture for Manufacturing Execution, Quality Management, and Product Lifecycle Management solutions corporate-wide at over 70 global manufacturing locations. He also provides functional and technical leadership to outsourced application service providers and internal IT team members to deliver system capability per changing business needs.  

Eric began his career with Kimberly-Clark 20 years ago as a process engineer for the Technical Paper division, and has since held various roles and responsibilities within Personal Care engineering and corporate ITS. During his tenure, Eric has led and driven various continuous improvement activities and innovations to control costs and bring competitive advantage with the businesses and systems he supports. He has been recognized internally with three corporate distinguished performance awards during his career. Eric also has served in various leadership positions for an area Toastmasters club where he resides.

Eric received a BS in paper engineering from Â鶹´«Ã½ in 1995. He resides in Appleton, Wisconsin with his wife Kristen and their two children, Hailey and Carter. His hobbies include gardening, hiking, and keeping involved to support his children’s activities including basketball, baseball, and band.
