  • Help engineering and applied science Â鶹´«Ã½s become exceptionally skilled engineers, researchers, entrepreneurs and scholars.
  • Make a difference for generations to come in the individuals, families and far-reaching communities in which our graduates work and serve.

You can help support the critical needs of our Â鶹´«Ã½s in the following areas: 

  • Innovation Expo projects, mentors and K-12 outreach. (See wmich.edu/engineer/expoinvite)
  • Emergency financial aid for Â鶹´«Ã½s with extenuating circumstances and unexpected crises.
  • RSO support for travel, equipment, and competitions
  • Mentoring of Â鶹´«Ã½s in any capacity: tutoring, project design or build, work-life balance, resume  critiquing, interviewing skills, speaker Â鶹´«Ã½.
  • Equipment and services related to Â鶹´«Ã½ research and experiential learning Â鶹´«Ã½.
  • Financial assistance to support a project (Sunseeker, FSAE, Baja, IEEE, or ASCE).

Many of our Â鶹´«Ã½s receive financial support through scholarships funded by our generous alumni and industry partners. These scholarships help ensure Â鶹´«Ã½s can stay in college, reduce financial debt at graduation and allow Â鶹´«Ã½s to focus on the business of college—academic success.

With grit and resilience, our Â鶹´«Ã½s meet and surpass the requirements of a challenging engineering curriculum. One way they thrive is by accessing the resources of our STEM Talent Expansion Program or STEP—tutoring, academic support, mentoring, events, targeted campus activities and living-learning communities. Many of these functions require external donations to fill this mission
