Eligibility

 All applicants must have earned at least 60, but no more than 105 credit hours, credit hours toward an undergraduate degree in political science. Preference will be given to applicants with higher numbers of completed hours in political science. You must be a major or graduate Â鶹´«Ã½ in political science.

Criteria

Selection Students must have demonstrated overall academic excellence at Â鶹´«Ã½ and, in particular, political science and a commitment to use the scholarship support to engage in the study of Africa or selected African nations.

Amount and Duration of Award

The amount of the award is up to $1,000 for the academic year. 

Your application form, essay and names of references are due in the political science department office, 3308 Friedmann Hall, by March 1. Announcement of the award will be made at the end of March. The award will be presented at the Political Science Honors Luncheon in early April.
