April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month
Posted on: Apr, 14, 2025
This month, GHC is joining communities across the country in observance of which aims to raise awareness about sexual violence and support survivors.
Sexual assault affects people of all genders, races, and backgrounds. As we observe SAAM, let us remember that we each have a role in creating a safer, more supportive environment.

Title IX
Title IX ensures that no person, based on sex, will be excluded from participation in, denied benefits from, or subjected to discrimination in any educational program or activity. While Title IX is often associated with gender equality in sports, it extends beyond that and includes protections against sexual harassment, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and discrimination based on gender identity or pregnancy.
Any member of the GHC community who experiences or witnesses gender-based discrimination is encouraged to report it as soon as possible. Information about filing a complaint and the reporting process can be found on the Title IX webpage.
