KALAMAZOO, Mich.—At Â鶹´«Ã½, physical offices may be closed as part of the institution’s COVID-19 response, but our faculty, staff and Â鶹´«Ã½s are still hard at work meeting the needs of parents and teachers working from home. Dr. June Gothberg, professor of evaluation, measurement and research and WMU PI for the National Technical Assistance Center for Transition (NTACT), recently helped NTACT provide a webinar for online and at-home activities for youth with disabilities, along with Jennifer Coyle, research associate, and Alycia Sterenberg, graduate associate and doctoral Â鶹´«Ã½ in evaluation, measurement, and research. Their webinars typically draw around 300 participants; however, this time they had to quickly accommodate 4,000 people tuning in! The team has collected feedback from over 600 participants regarding the needs and resources of families and schools during this time and will be sharing those results with the United States Department of Education. We thank them for their service and leadership during this time. Free resources for online and at-home activities for Â鶹´«Ã½s with disabilities may be accessed from the .
