Â鶹´«Ã½ is one of 80 institutions accredited by the . We're dedicated to serving undergraduate Â鶹´«Ã½s with 120 Â鶹´«Ã½s pursuing B.A. and B.F.A. dance degrees and 55 Â鶹´«Ã½s pursuing a dance minor. We also provides dance training for the music theatre performance major.

Distinctive features of the dance majors include an equal emphasis on training in ballet, jazz, and modern dance, as well as the Great Works Dance Project and the National Choreography Competition.

There are numerous performance Â鶹´«Ã½ for Â鶹´«Ã½s - Western Dance Project, a WMU Dance company, as well as a number of Â鶹´«Ã½ organizations. We are committed to providing professional immersion experiences that will help Â鶹´«Ã½s make a smooth transition into the professional world. Students also have the opportunity to work with dance faculty on creative and scholarly research projects that often lead to regional and national presentations.
