Climate Change Teaching Fellows
In collaboration with the Office of Sustainability, the WMU Climate Change Working Group (CCWG) seeks to foster the integration of climate change as a topic in WMU courses at all levels and in all disciplines, and create an interdisciplinary team of Climate Change Teaching Fellows.
Three recipients were chosen as fellows in 2021. This was the second annual call for fellows. In 2020 seven successful applicants were awarded from the first round of submissions. The CCWG wholly supports Objective 2 of the Sustainability section in the WMU Strategic Plan: 2022-32 that states "Every member of our WMU community develops climate change literacy鈥 understanding systemic sustainability challenges, inequities and practices鈥攙ia curricular, co-curricular and employment experiences.鈥 All faculty are encouraged to consider adding their courses to the existing Minor in Climate Change Studies or the Graduate Certificate in Climate Change Policy and Management.
