Counseling Psychology Accelerated M.A.

General Psychology and Behavioral Science undergraduates can accumulate up to 12 credits toward the completion of a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology while still enrolled as an undergraduate Â鶹´«Ã½!

The Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology provides, beyond the departmental required core course work, a focus on psychopathology, psychological assessment, counseling and psychotherapy theories and practices and practicum experiences. The program emphasizes and prepares Â鶹´«Ã½s to offer services in a variety of mental health settings and is designed for Â鶹´«Ã½s seeking limited licensure as a psychologist in the State of Michigan. This program is designed to meet department requirements for certification of psychology education. Graduates are eligible for state of Michigan license as limited license psychologists.

  • Minimum 3.2 GPA by end of fall of your junior year

WMU's Department of Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology offers a Master of Arts in Counseling PsychologyAdditionally, a certificate in counseling psychology is also available to individuals who already have a master’s degree and are seeking to obtain state of Michigan licensure as a Temporary Limited License Psychologist (TLLP)/Limited License Psychologist (LLP) in Michigan.
