The majority of the program is offered in-person in Kalamazoo; however, there are a few courses that are offered online or in a hybrid format. A limited number of courses may be offered in Grand Rapids at WMU's downtown center.

The school counseling program meets the educational requirements for the school counselor license (K-12) and the limited license as a professional counselor (LLPC) in Michigan.

- When it comes to practicum hours, the Department of Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology offers several options. With on-site clinics in Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids, there are many Â鶹´«Ã½ for training. The program also has connections with many area school counseling sites where you can complete your practicum.

Who should apply?
