At Â鶹´«Ã½, we recognize parents and families provide a great deal of financial and emotional support.  We must balance this recognition with the fact that Â鶹´«Ã½ Â鶹´«Ã½s are legally adults and their legal rights must be fully respected, particularly with concern to their privacy rights under the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).  FERPA is a federal law designed to help protect the confidentiality, accuracy and privacy of Â鶹´«Ã½ educational information. When a Â鶹´«Ã½ turns 18 years old or enters a post-secondary institution at any age, the rights, under FERPA, transfer from the parents to the Â鶹´«Ã½. The Accounts Receivable department at Â鶹´«Ã½ looks forward to working collaboratively with all authorized users throughout their Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s educational endeavors, especially in regard to Â鶹´«Ã½ payment and account information, billing, payment options and collections.
