Music Composition
The Irving S. Gilmore School of Music at Â鶹´«Ã½ offers a Bachelor of Music in composition degree.
The program provides skills for Â鶹´«Ã½s interested in a variety of creative careers involving music composition, including concert music, movie music, video game music, and multimedia. Additionally, Â鶹´«Ã½ composers receive training in musicianship, music theory, musicology and instrumental performance as part of their degree program.
The music composition faculty provide training in acoustic and electronic music composition based on the Â鶹´«Ã½'s own intentions and interests, while also challenging Â鶹´«Ã½s to grow. The faculty help Â鶹´«Ã½s to develop as composers, critical listeners, creative thinkers, and musicians so that they can be successful in achieving creative goals.
