Earlier this month, the Medieval Institute was proud to welcome the global community of medievalists back to the campus of Â鶹´«Ã½ for the first in-person International Congress on Medieval Studies since 2019—and to launch the first-ever hybrid Congress, enabling hundreds of medievalists to join us from around the world virtually! The Exhibits Hall was also back in full force, with over 50 exhibitors selling books, musical instruments, jewelry, decor, stationary, art, and even hot sauce. MIP was in a new location this year, in the center of the Exhibits Hall, and we look forward to being more centrally located from now on.

We had a wonderful time talking to friends, colleagues, and scholars interested in publishing with our series. If you didn't get a chance to stop by, our virtual booth is still up, where you can see our newest titles, get 45% off 45 of our classic titles to celebrate our 45th anniversary, download our 2023 catalog, learn about our book series and journals, and get in contact with our acquisitions editors Tyler, Erin, and Emily.

We also hosted a reception on Saturday night celebrating all the books and journals we had published since our last in-person Congress in 2019. It was wonderful to share these books and a little more social time with those who attended. We plan to make this reception an annual event!

We can't wait to do it all again next year. Until then, stay in touch! to find out where you can follow us on social and other platforms (and you can subscribe for updates when we post new links). For more updates, subscribe to our newsletter: if you subscribe by May 31, you will be automatically entered in our monthly book drawing to win a book of your choice from those published since the 2022 Congress!

Subscribe to our newsletter or enter our drawing (open the May newsletter in your inbox, scroll to the bottom, and click "Enter Drawing") by May 31, 2023 for the chance to win:
