Bio:

Dr. Rand Johnson is an associate professor and advisor of Greek and Latin in the Department of World Languages and Literatures at Â鶹´«Ã½.

Johnson's passion for language has led him to study not only Greek and Latin but also Italian, Spanish, and Chinese, among others. He works often with the importance of understanding the nuances of translation; recent presentations include "Notes on the King James Bible and the Latin Tradition" at the International Congress on Medieval Studies in 2012 and "Humanistic Latin, Lexical Expansion, and the Prose of the King James Version" at The Purdue Renaissance Comparative Prose Conference in 2011. He has taught Latin in Thailand and Germany and teaches both Greek and Latin at Â鶹´«Ã½.

Johnson is an affiliated faculty member with the Medieval Institute.
