General summary

Coordinates and supports employer engagement programs and developmental events year-round. Assists in collecting and managing employment data from Â鶹´«Ã½s and employers

Major duties

  • Supports employer relations and job development. Coordinates major career events and recruits volunteers for event support.
  • Assists with employer inquiries related to hiring Â鶹´«Ã½s and event participation. Promotes career development activities and employer resources. Supports event management.
  • Supports employer relationship management. Assists with career fair registrations and event promotion. Provides Handshake support.
  • Assists with planning developmental events.
  • Collaborates with academic departments to reserve locations, parking, and ensure the website is up to date. Monitors email accounts and calendars to ensure efficient on-campus recruiting activities.
  • Monitors and tracks internships, surveys employers, and reports recruiting activity data.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises Â鶹´«Ã½ employees.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Associate's degree or two years' college coursework in a related field from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required experience

  • Some relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.

Required other

  • Ability to work irregular shifts including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
