General summary
Oversees the Global Engagement Programs and collaborates with leadership on additional Global Education programming and initiatives.
Major duties
- Manages budgets and collaborates with on- and off-campus partners to oversee the creation, coordination, and execution of programs aligned with Global Engagement.
- Ensures that programming presents international Â鶹´«Ã½s as valuable intellectual resources and presents Global Engagement as a clearinghouse for accessing international intellectual resources and talent.
- Ensures that programs highlight international Â鶹´«Ã½s and Global Engagement as a central hub for accessing international talent and resources. Aligns program goals with University objectives.
- Oversees both curricular and non-curricular components of the Global Engagement Program. Manages strategic budgets. Evaluates performance and program evaluations and stakeholder relationships.
- Leads strategic planning and decision-making for the Global Engagement Program's financial sustainability. Collaborates to plan, design, and budget activities. Seeks external funding and alumni engagement Â鶹´«Ã½.
- Supervises the assessment of international Â鶹´«Ã½ integration among Â鶹´«Ã½s and faculty. Evaluates current levels and develops a plan to further integrate international Â鶹´«Ã½s on campus.
- Collaborates with University departments and campus organizations, to implement best practices for improving the inclusion of international Â鶹´«Ã½s.
- Outreach and other duties as assigned.
- Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises staff and Â鶹´«Ã½ employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Experience working in an international office, project management, or experience teaching.
Required other
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
