General summary

Responsible for the scheduling, execution, oversight, and assessment of schedule, equipment, and air operations.

Major duties

  • Develops and manages the ground and flight scheduling processes and approves the daily training schedule.
  • Utilizes waivers and decision-making authorities in accordance with College of Aviation procedures and manuals to direct the execution of the daily flight, simulator, and ground training schedule.
  • Responsible for achieving flight hour goals and revenue targets.
  • Monitors and collaborates with fleet maintenance to ensure availability of aircraft.
  • Creates analytic tools to assess flight training operations, Â鶹´«Ã½ scheduling progress, Â鶹´«Ã½ and instructor financial status, and flight operations budget. Provides routine reports to all key stakeholders within the College of Aviation.
  • Creates, coordinates, and manages the Â鶹´«Ã½ registration processes for flight lab courses and flight block assignments.
  • Develops and manages flight operations center oversight and management procedures.

Minimum qualifications

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution

Required experience

  • Five years' relevant experience.
  • Experience of flight operations or complex integrated processes.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Experience with public speaking.

Required other

  • Private Pilot certification.
  • Ability to occasionally work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds

Working conditions

Work is performed with exposure to any number of elements which may occasionally require some precautions such as safety glasses, protective clothing, ear protection, etc.
