General summary

Oversees the development and implementation of training and outreach programs. Conducts assessments and coordinates accommodations and resources for members of the University impacted by discrimination or harassment under Title IX.

Major duties

  • Coordinates support and resources for University community members impacted by sexual violence, sexual harassment, and sex discrimination, as well as other protected class discrimination and for pregnant persons requesting accommodations.
  • Collaborates with campus partners to build, improve, and facilitate delivery of support and resources.
  • Creates training for faculty, staff and Â鶹´«Ã½s based on complaint trends and compliance needs.
  • Coordinates access to online training. Assists with training for individuals with Title IX responsibilities.
  • Conducts educational programs for University community members about University grievance procedures.
  • Coordinates the creation of marketing materials that help to communicate the Institutional Equity department’s mission. Clarifies various reporting and resolution options.
  • Conducts intake meetings with parties to explain the available resources, supports, and resolution options, file a formal complaint, pursue formal or informal resolution, and access supportive measure with or without filing a formal complaint. May assist with investigations.
  • Evaluates data, existing programs, policies, and procedures as well as changes in regulations to ensure effectiveness.
  • Assists in the development of annual reports and climate assessments as well as identifying, monitoring, and addressing systemic problems and patterns.
  • Uses database to track and report key data related to supportive measures and communication.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of current federal and state regulations governing or impacting nondiscrimination procedures, including Title IX, the Clery Act, Violence Against Women Act, and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
  • Experience in public speaking, facilitating, teaching and presenting.
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong human relation, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Experience and ability to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Strong computer skills, including word processing, developing spreadsheets and database management, and presentation software.
  • Ability to exercise judgement and maintain confidentiality.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
