General summary
Collaborates with University athletic department staff, coaches, and Â鶹´«Ã½-athletes to resolve and monitor compliance-related issues.
Major duties
- Collaborates with athletics department coaches, staff and Â鶹´«Ã½-athletes to monitor documentation of contacts, evaluations, correspondence, unofficial visits, and official visits throughout the recruiting process.
- Coordinates sports camp scheduling and compliance with coaching staffs, facilities staff, medical services staff, media relations staff, and ticket office staff to ensure National Collegiate Athletic Association rules are followed through the completion of camp activities.
- Oversees playing and practice season declarations and monitoring with athletics department coaches and staff.
- Assists with initial eligibility reviews, transcript evaluations, and eligibility center tasks for incoming Â鶹´«Ã½-athletes.
- Assists with research and preparation of athletic waivers as deemed applicable.
- Assists with providing National Collegiate Athletic Association and athletic conference rule interpretations and education.
- Investigates and prepares rule violation reports.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- One year's relevant experience.
- Experience with National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) compliance.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
