General summary
Designs, develops, and implements the Â鶹´«Ã½ professional readiness program.
Major duties
- Oversees and approves events, registrations, attendance, participation, program assessment and annual program logistics.
- Conducts audits to ensure Â鶹´«Ã½ compliance with program and graduation requirements are achieved. Advises enrolled and prospective undergraduate Â鶹´«Ã½s on the program requirements for graduation. Coaches Â鶹´«Ã½s through career development decisions.
- Collaborates with career center, communication center, business-related registered Â鶹´«Ã½ organizations, faculty members and leadership to plan and implement new workshops and events.
- Collaborates with other University offices to develop relationships to meet Â鶹´«Ã½s' needs. Serves as a representative of various committees that impact academic and co-curricular life at the University. Participates in policy development.
- Leads program advisory board consisting of employer representatives, faculty, staff, and Â鶹´«Ã½s. Establishes and maintains strategic employer partnerships designed to support employer and Â鶹´«Ã½ connection through career readiness development.
- Generates and implements public relations and information materials to communicate with current and prospective Â鶹´«Ã½s.
- Determines appropriate software and tracking system components.
- Conducts budget maintenance and growth. May engage in grant writing to support program funding.
- Supports college orientation sessions for new Â鶹´«Ã½s. Assists in development of orientation programming.
- Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises staff and Â鶹´«Ã½ employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Five years' relevant experience.
- Supervisory or lead experience.
- Successful program establishment and management experience.
- Significant experience working with Â鶹´«Ã½s in mentoring, advising, counseling, and teaching roles.
Physical requirements
Light work with some physical demands such as continuously lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds, but rarely moving more than 25 to 50 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
