General summary
Directs the department in creation of graphics, video and design standards for all engagement efforts, fundraising appeals and events for University stakeholders.
Major duties
- Leads the creation of and adherence to brand standards for University stakeholder areas.
- Serves as lead designer for large initiatives and campaigns. Supervises department production, designers and creation of video graphics, web sites and print.
- Coordinates graphic projects to align with communication channel and message.
- Serves as departments representative on design issues. Supports and consults with the University to provide art elements that meet visual identity guidelines for fund raising and alumni relations activities.
- Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises staff and Â鶹´«Ã½ employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Experience with graphic design for higher education, non-profit or corporate.
- Advanced knowledge of creative software products.
Required other
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements
