General summary

Amplifies the University’s ability to attract and enroll undergraduate Â鶹´«Ã½s by partnering in the development of individual recruitment and yield communication plans for Â鶹´«Ã½s and their parents.

Major duties

  • Partners with department’s leadership, develop and propose robust recruitment and yield communication plans and initiatives to attract and enroll Â鶹´«Ã½s from high schools and community colleges.
  • Develops messaging and collaborates with campus partners to ensure the admissions team members effectively engage and serve prospective Â鶹´«Ã½s, their families, school counselors, and other college counseling colleagues.
  • Manages a recruitment territory. Serves as the primary University liaison for Â鶹´«Ã½s, families, and high school counselors. Makes admission decisions and advocates for Â鶹´«Ã½s while building and maintaining relationships with college counseling colleagues within that territory.
  • Works with admissions leadership and team members to promote campus, with particular emphasis on creating segmented, multifaceted, multi-platform plans allowing Â鶹´«Ã½s and families to receive the information that is most pertinent to them.
  • Uses the admissions customer relationship management and other software. Manages, examines, and maintains data that will provide insight, Â鶹´«Ã½, and direction to initiatives designed to attract Â鶹´«Ã½s.
  • Participates on unit and campus committees and work groups and serves as an admissions liaison to other campus departments and units.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution

Required experience

  • Two years' relevant experience
  • Understanding of college admissions.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with Â鶹´«Ã½s, co-workers, and the general public.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of Â鶹´«Ã½s, parents and community members. Proven attention to detail

Required other

  • Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state.
  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements
