General summary

Plans, directs, and performs critical board initiatives, administrative functions and projects for foundation board members and the managing director.

Major duties

  • Manages all board and committee communications, scheduling, and record keeping both in preparation for and during board and committee meetings. Submits meeting minutes for approval.
  • Plans and implements essential board initiatives and co-leads foundation objectives including fundraising.
  • Ensures compliance with foundation by-laws and University policies and procedures in preparation for and during all committee and board meetings. Leads strategies and ensures compliance with staff and board professional and volunteer development.
  • Coordinates the collection of data and information. Produces and edits letters, memos, speeches, presentations, and other miscellaneous documents.
  • Provides support for scholarship administration, employer relations and career mentoring for paper technology program Â鶹´«Ã½s. Supports program marketing and strategic development.
  • Oversees the reception desk operations. Ensures all donor questions are handled with efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises Â鶹´«Ã½ employees.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Five years' relevant experience.
  • Experience providing executive-level project support to a volunteer foundation board, including managing board committees, communications, document preparation, and compliance goals.
  • Experience working with executives or non-profit foundations.
  • Ability to perform high quality output with little direction.
  • Ability to set own goals.
  • Ability to continuously seek to offer value to numerous and varied constituents.

  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements. Ability to tour manufacturing facilities with variable temperatures, tight spaces, and elevated surfaces. Ability to travel and work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
