General summary
Directs division-wide assessment, planning, and program review related to Â鶹´«Ã½ affairs.
Major duties
- Directs division-wide assessment, planning, and program review related to division outcomes, and the ongoing improvement and innovation of programs and services.
- Leads the collaborative development of the divisional strategic plan development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting. Provides advice and guidance on issues of division-wide long-term planning, program evaluation, and resource utilization.
- Provides leadership and guidance to units regarding data management, interpretation, and creation of budgets and plans for goals, metrics, and targets.
- Directs division-wide program review, including the coordination of internal and external reviews. Provides individual and group consultation to staff regarding assessment and evaluation needs. Guides staff in defining program goals, learning objectives, and selecting assessment strategies.
- Coordinates the development of a marketing plan that uses data to share outcomes, and priorities, incorporating the use of social media. Leads data integration and visualization efforts for the division.
- Oversees assessment and marketing communication budgets.
- Manages brand development in alignment with the University brand, ensuring consistency and increasing the reach of the division’s marketplace.
- Develops and implements strategies to reward and recognize effective division assessment and planning efforts. Develops content for appropriate publications and the divisions’ website priorities and assessment outcomes.
- Collects and analyzes data and evidence for decision-making important to Â鶹´«Ã½ affairs.
- Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises staff and Â鶹´«Ã½ employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Eight years' relevant experience.
- Supervisory or lead experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in Â鶹´«Ã½ affairs, planning, or assessment.
- Experience in outcomes assessment and related activities within a higher education setting.
- Experience using qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Ability to develop and implement new ideas and methods for the continuing evolution and improvement of assessment and strategic planning practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a collaborative and transparent manner.
- Strong collaborative, team-building style for establishing and maintaining collegial working relationships with faculty, staff and Â鶹´«Ã½s.
- Demonstrated intercultural competence, with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Ability to develop and implement new ideas and methods for the continuing evolution and improvement of assessment and strategic planning practices.
- Experience with office software, including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
