General summary

Manages computer interface liaising and troubleshooting with University Information Technology experts to analyze and apply immigration and admissions data transactions directly into federal agency database through information systems . Serves in the capacity of Designated School Official and Alternate Responsible Office.

Major duties

  • Analyses and interprets federal regulations while advising international faculty and scholars with requests, regulations, and legal implications in compliance with federal law .
  • Evaluates and prepares Â鶹´«Ã½ applications to relevant governmental departments.
  • Manages records of daily operations of information systems to compile data and prepare reports for submittal to the corresponding federal agency in compliance of federal and state law.
  • Manages interface between Â鶹´«Ã½ information systems, Student and Exchange Visitor Information Systems. Provides analysis, feedback and testing with vested departments.
  • Provides direction to international Â鶹´«Ã½ and scholar services staff regarding record keeping systems and computer programs.
  • Creates immigration information in compliance with university standards.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises Â鶹´«Ã½ staff.

Required education

  • Associate's degree or two years' college coursework in a related field from an accredited institution

Required experience

  • One year's relevant experience

Required other

  • U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident to meet the federal requirements to serve as a Designated School Official (for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security) and Alternate Responsible Officer (for the U.S. Department of State)

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
