General summary

Ensures, verifies, prepares, and provides documentation that nursing Â鶹´«Ã½s meet minimum work requirements for clinical placements, using the formats required by the sites.

Major duties

  • Coordinates, documents, and communicates successful completion of Â鶹´«Ã½ and instruction minimum work requirements, including drug testing, criminal background checks, and fingerprinting according to clinical agency requirements.
  • Maintains proficiency and completes documentation for the various clinical rotation formats and programs used by various clinical sites.
  • Coordinates the development and processing of affiliation agreements with practices sites at which the University places nursing Â鶹´«Ã½s for their clinical experiences.
  • Ensures faculty and Â鶹´«Ã½s meet minimum work requirements for clinical sites in a timely manner. Educates faculty and Â鶹´«Ã½s on how to submit documentation of meeting requirements.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with practice site partners to collaborate on minimum work requirements for Â鶹´«Ã½ placements at the site. May services as the first level contact to troubleshoot and resolve clinical site issues.
  • May assist with maintaining inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Post high school training or education.

Required experience

  • Some relevant experience.
  • Experience working with databases, immunization schedules, and health requirements.

Required other

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent health care certification.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
