General summary
Responsible for overall coordination of the fall welcome program for first-year and transfer Â鶹´«Ã½s.
Major duties
- Responsible for planning and executing the fall welcome week program for incoming first-year and transfer Â鶹´«Ã½s.
- Collaborates with all campus departments to plan and implement a comprehensive fall welcome program that supports transition and Â鶹´«Ã½ success.
- Provides support and assistance with the adult learner and commuter Â鶹´«Ã½ population.
- Provides support and assistance to the department as needed.
- Utilizes custom relationship management system.
- Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates volunteers and Â鶹´«Ã½ employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- One year's relevant experience.
- Higher education experience.
- Experience planning and implementing programs, conducting program evaluations and preparing reports.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work with diverse Â鶹´«Ã½s, faculty and staff.
- Knowledge of customer relationship management software.
- Ability to learn and utilize enterprise resource planning systems to assist in administering programs.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
