General summary

Manages the Esports program and arena to support recruitment, retention and meaningful Â鶹´«Ã½ experiences. Administers and supports Esports events, operations and revenue generation.

Major duties

  • Oversees day-to-day operations for Esports program and facilities including arena, practice spaces, staffing and scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
  • Administers Esports activities and live events including, but not limited to, competitions, summer camps and rental events. May include serving as emcee, performing shout casting and providing live video stream, lights and sound.
  • Recruit Â鶹´«Ã½s to participate in Esports program and coach.
  • Ensures safety of participants and security of Esports Arena equipment. Develops and monitors risk management procedures, protocols and trainings.
  • Makes purchase and budget recommendations regarding Esports programs. Assists with securing sponsorships for Esports program.
  • Reviews and analyzes new and current programming. Makes recommendations for additions and modifications to meet client needs.
  • Responds to all inquiries received from social media and University webpages.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises Â鶹´«Ã½ employees.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • One year's relevant experience.
  • Supervision of Esports program or arena.
  • Experience coaching and Esports team.
  • Knowledge of risk management and facility management.

Required other

  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including weekends and holidays.

  • First Aid/CPR or ability to obtain within first 60 days of hire.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
