General summary
Oversees the development and administration of noncredit education courses, certification programs, community-based education, and training for business and industry for adults and Â鶹´«Ã½s seeking learning outside of a degree program.
Major duties
- Collaborates with department instructional design and support, marketing and communication, and business office teams to ensure efficient project management of non-credit courses and programs.
- Collaborates with academic and community partners and the department’s professional development and continuing education staff to develop, implement, and maintain innovative non-credit continuing education programming.
- Maintains effective communication with administration, faculty and staff about policies, practices, and procedures.
- Collaborates with academic units to explore, develop, and implement credit-based crosswalks and prior learning assessment tools for non-credit learning experiences.
- Maintains ongoing engagement with best practices in the field and needs of key stakeholders.
- Maintain relationships and community engagement surrounding the University.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Eight years' relevant experience.
- Experience in Â鶹´«Ã½ engagement, retention and advising, with a demonstrated record of innovation and success.
- Supervisory experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
