General summary

Manages and oversees daily operations of the Kalamazoo Autism Center.

Major duties

  • Oversees the quality of direct service delivery and administrative tasks.
  • Coordinates practicum Â鶹´«Ã½ with academic departments.
  • Oversees caregiver education and outreach.
  • Organizes and participates in scheduling agency tours and interviews.
  • Collaborates with administrative staff on developing and implementing calendars and schedules.
  • Collaborates with leadership staff on developing and ensuring compliances with policies and regulations. Assists in planning and conducting community training and events including outreach to potential new clients.
  • Collaborates with clinical and administrative staff on the organization, storage, distribution and maintenance of confidential material.
  • Develops and directs school consultation services.
  • Performs community outreach and legislative advocacy.
  • Hires, evaluates and supervises clinical staff. Assists with coordination, development and supervision of training for all clinical staff.

Minimum qualifications

Required education

  • Doctoral degree in related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience.
  • Supervisory or lead experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity.

Required other

  • Relevant industry certifications and licenses.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
