General summary
Provides occupational therapy assessment, treatment and program development for individual and group therapy situations.
Major duties
- Assesses clients with disabilities. Evaluates skills and level of treatment needed.
- Plans, develops and implements treatment programs and activities for clients. Designs individual and group therapy activities. Trains and monitors staff on treatment and program procedures.
- Documents client treatment and progress.
- Supervises occupational therapy Â鶹´«Ã½s and interns. Ensures adherence to fieldwork and program standards.
- Serves as a resource to the University occupational program and local colleges. Conducts presentations and delivers lectures regarding programs and the occupational therapy field.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- One year's relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Required other
- Relevant industry certification.

- Practical experience with disabled clients.
Physical requirements
Light work with some physical demands such as continuously lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds, but rarely moving more than 25 to 50 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
