General summary
Directs the operations and administration of Center for Disability Services and Unified Clinics.
Major duties
- Provides leadership and directs the Center for Disability Services and Unified Clinics.
- Oversees auxiliary budgets, medical and contract billing, and fiscal integrity of department operations, to maintain financial solvency. Develops contracts and builds internal and external relationships with funders to ensure the success of the departments’ missions.
- Oversees patient operations to ensure quality outcomes for clients and patients and a quality educational environment for University Â鶹´«Ã½s. Provides clinical supervision for the center's programs. Provides strategic leadership and develops short- and long-term plans for the clinics. Collaborates with clinic executive counsel, chairs, and the center's staff to ensure the overall success of operations.
- Provides clinical supervision and clinical leadership for programs serving adults with disabilities and aging adults. Maintains evidence-based practices and knowledge of current trends in the field.
- Collaborates with the College of Health and Human Services leadership and advisory board to communicate operational and financial issues that impact the Center for Disability Services and the Unified Clinics.
- Provides strategic business planning and development in order to seek new Â鶹´«Ã½ to expand the mission of the College and its departments. Develops business relationships, responds to requests for proposals, and creates start-up Â鶹´«Ã½ for new clinical practices.
- Collaborates with external constituencies on business and general outreach.
- Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises staff and Â鶹´«Ã½ employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Doctoral degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Five years' relevant experience.
- Supervisory experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of regulations and protocols governing care of and services for the disabled.
- Experience in budget forecasting and strategic planning.
- Experience in the management or administration of programs for disabled persons.
Required other
- Clinical licensure.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
