2024-2025 Lee Honors College Study Abroad Scholarship Application

Applications must be submitted no later than 5 p.m., October 15 for study abroad planned for winter break or spring semester, or February 15 for study abroad planned for fall semesters. The study abroad program must be initiated within 12 months of the application submission. Late applications will not be considered. You may apply if your study abroad application is still pending; funds will be awarded after you provide proof of acceptance into your program of study. Funding is based on length of program.

To be eligible for a Lee Honors College Study Abroad Scholarship, you must be a full-time Â鶹´«Ã½ (12 credit hours in fall and spring semesters) in good standing with the Lee Honors College, and have not yet graduated at the time the trip takes place. This faculty or staff member will be contacted by the Lee Honors College with a form to be completed by the person serving as your reference. These forms will need to accompany all letters of recommendation and should be sent directly to the honors college by the faculty or staff member. Directions for submission will be included with the form.
Essay should address as specifically and succinctly as possible the following: Why you have chosen this location and study abroad program; How this study abroad experience will contribute to your (a) academic success and (b) professional or career goals; What you hope to learn from this program. Please do not focus on how this experience will contribute to your personal development.

Disbursement of Funds (required)
If I receive a Lee Honors College Study Abroad Scholarship I understand I may be asked to make a short presentation describing my experience at an honors college sponsored event in the semester following the study abroad program. I further understand that proof of acceptance into the study abroad program must be submitted to the honors college before any funds will be disbursed. Finally, I understand that if I fail to complete the study abroad program, the scholarship amount will be charged back to my Â鶹´«Ã½ account.
