Upjohn Center Open Houses

The W.E. Upjohn Center for the Study of Geographical Change at Â鶹´«Ã½:

  • Provides support for GIScience aplications in esearch and administrative decision-making.
  • Converts large-format maps, manuscripts, found objects and documents to georeferenced, digital collections.
  • Conducts research in the development of high definition maps and their use in promotion of geography as a critical discipline.

GeoChange/HDReAM Community Open House

The W.E. Upjohn Center for the Study of Geographical Change (GeoChange) will host a joint community open house with the WMU Health Data Research, Analysis and Mapping (HDReAM) Center on Thursday, October 26, 2017, from 10am-4pm in 1000 Welborn Hall. The event is open to the public.

This is an opportunity to meet the research team that works on projects at both centers, discuss community mapping projects to that support data-driven decison making, public health and natural resource protection, tour the Meader Imaging Laboratory, consult with us about digitization and spatial analysis options for your data, and celebrate WMU’s recent designation as a Center for Academic Excellence in the Geospatial Sciences by the NGA/USGS.
