Bio:

I am an ecologist and evolutionary biologist with a strong emphasis on conservation. I pursue studies in three broad areas: The influence of land use change (particularly urbanization) on species interactions, such predator-prey, host-parasite, or host-microbiome interactions; The ecology and genetics of host-parasite interactions with a focus on bat and bird parasites; Comparative population genetics and genomics of bats. My research combines field studies on animal behavior and ecology with laboratory approaches using molecular markers to understand evolutionary patterns and process.
