Meet Jimmy: Physical and health education

What song should we listen to while we read this?

Song Title: E-Pro
Artist: Beck

I loved my time as an exercise science major but then I found a new passion for getting others excited about health so I switched to physical and health education. Getting others interested into their own health is very rewarding.

My favorite faculty member is definitely Dr. Mike Miller. Not only is he very knowledgeable and fun to listen to in class, he supports Â鶹´«Ã½s and fosters growth inside and outside the classroom.

My favorite WMU recreational activity is definitely events hosted by either the Ski/Snowboard club or the Powerlifting club.

I would tell me friend to absolutely consider WMU as we have a great learning environment in our programs and equally great food walking distance from campus!

"Rising by Lifting Others"

Physical and health education at WMU

WMU’s PHETE program will prepare you as a pre-service teacher candidate to be certified in both physical education and health education, offered in a 4-year or 5-year degree plan. The overarching goal of this dual-major degree program is to assist you in acquiring the skills, knowledge and real-world experiences to become effective, competent and committed physically- and health-literate professionals in today’s society.
