KALAMAZOO, Mich.—A new framework, co-developed by Â鶹´«Ã½'s Dr. Samuel Beasley, for cross-racial/ethnic solidarity research was recently published in American Psychologist, the flagship journal of the . Offering a foundation for psychologists committed to dismantling systemic racism, the framework can be used to address the structural inequalities that perpetuate racial oppression.

"We hope that our cross-racial/ethnic solidarity framework will provide a foundation for psychologists who wish to challenge and dismantle the structure that upholds White supremacy through an interdisciplinary and social justice approach," explains Dr. Donna Demanarig, assistant teaching professor at UMass-Dartmouth and Beasley's co-author.

This framework was a product of Dr. Kevin Cokley's project. The project aims to build stronger relationships between different racial and ethnic groups
