How can I participate in CEHD Cares Day?
Throughout the day (and the entire week), various CEHD Cares Day events will be facilitated by faculty, staff, Â鶹´«Ã½s and alumni. These events may include free tutoring being offered by WMU education Â鶹´«Ã½s for local children, collecting of children's winter wear by a registered Â鶹´«Ã½ organization, a healthy snack food drive put on by nutrition and dietetics Â鶹´«Ã½s or bringing donuts and coffee to your local K12 school district to help celebrate the teachers.
Those who wish to participate but are unable to join on Nov. 20 can contact Nicole Leffler to make arrangements.
Please use the hashtag #CEHDCares on social media so we can highlight the great work you are doing!

A look back at our impact
On November 17, 2022, CEHD faculty members, professors and Â鶹´«Ã½s volunteered their time and made donations, making the inaugural event a huge success. Eleven groups in total participated in the event impacting children in need, teachers, hospital workers and more. Collectively, the college donated a large box of school supplies, blankets, hats, and more to the ten K12 school districts in Kalamazoo County. Donations were gathered by College leadership, faculty/staff and Â鶹´«Ã½s over the course of Education Week. In addition, the College surprised 10 teachers throughout the week in their schools with gift baskets, thanking them for all that they do.
