Trevion Thomas (also known as Tre) joined the Â鶹´«Ã½'s Haworth College of Business and College of Engineering and Applied Sciences as a program manager for cybersecurity in August 2023. Prior to her new role, she was an academic advisor in WMU's College of Aviation.
Tre is no stranger to WMU, having completed both her bachelor’s degree in communication studies and master’s degree in higher education Â鶹´«Ã½ affairs. While completing two degrees, she was actively involved on campus as a Â鶹´«Ã½ worker, teaching assistant and intern in departments, including the Alpha Program, Residence Life, First Year Experience (FYE) and College of Arts and Sciences and held a graduate assistantship with the Lee Honors College.
After graduating with her master’s degree, Tre held a position at Kellogg Community College as a success coach for early college and dual enrollment. She then received a promotion as an admissions representative. Tre’s passion and dedication for helping Â鶹´«Ã½s achieve success, navigating the college process and sharing her testimony, plus providing tips as a first-generation college Â鶹´«Ã½ all display her commitment to Â鶹´«Ã½ access. Tre taught FYE at WMU from 2012 until 2017 and, now continues to teach that course as an adjunct instructor at KCC.
Tre is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, incorporated, a private, not for profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world.
