The Michigan GEAR UP Program increases Â鶹´«Ã½s’ awareness of the requirements to enter into post-secondary education by providing college exposure, information on financial literacy and admissions requirements, and helping to build the critical thinking, test taking, and study skills necessary to be successful as they continue their education.
Michigan GEAR UP will strengthen Â鶹´«Ã½s’ academic skills and readiness for post-secondary education by offering the following services throughout the Â鶹´«Ã½ participants educational career and progression in the program; from their 7th grade to their first year of college:
- College visits
- In-school workshops
- Tutoring
- Mentoring
- Summer camps
Â鶹´«Ã½'s MI GEAR UP serves all Â鶹´«Ã½s in the graduating Class of 2026 at the following schools:
- Benton Harbor High School (Benton Harbor, MI)
- Fennville High School (Fennville, MI)
- Hartford High School (Hartford, MI)
- Kalamazoo Central High School (Kalamazoo, MI)
