Scholarships
Scholarships offered through the WMU Bronson School of Nursing are listed below.
- Scholarship applications are due February 1.
- Notification will go out by May 1, only to Â鶹´«Ã½s who receive the scholarships.
- Awards will be made directly to recipients' accounts for each semester.
Only apply if you are already admitted to the BSN, RN-BSN or MSN programs. Only apply for scholarships for which you are eligible. If you are eligible for more than one scholarship, you must complete an application for each scholarship. As part of the application process, we do ask that you—or the person responsible for your tuition—file a and federal tax return.

Criteria - Scholarship Application
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Preference given to an alumnus of Bronson Methodist Hospital School of Nursing
- Awarded to part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate nursing Â鶹´«Ã½
- Renewable for up to four years with satisfactory academic progress

Karl and Beverly Haug Bronson School of Nursing Scholarship
Criteria - Scholarship Application
- Part-time of full-time Â鶹´«Ã½(s) with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) entering the RN to BSN program
- Based on financial need as determined by the information provided in the scholarship application
- Preference is given to nurse(s) working at Bronson Methodist Hospital
- Renewable for up to five years with with satisfactory academic progress (minimum GPA of 3.0)
The Wiessner Nursing Scholarship Endowment Fund
Criteria - Scholarship Application
- Students enrolled in their first year of the BSN program
- Based on financial need
- Renewable for up to four years with satisfactory progress of at least a 3.0 GPA
Caitlin Erin Boudreau Nursing Scholarship
Criteria - Scholarship Application
- Admitted to the Bronson School of Nursing BSN program
- Preference given to a Â鶹´«Ã½ from Flushing High School, Flushing, Michigan
Heyl Scholarship
The Heyl Scholarship Program is a longstanding scholarship for high-achieving Â鶹´«Ã½s from Kalamazoo Public Schools or the Kalamazoo Area Math and Science Center. The scholarship offers full tuition for direct admits to Nursing at WMU's Bronson School of Nursing or undergraduate studies in STEM at Kalamazoo College.
