Mental Wellness

The mental wellness education program aims to reduce stigma of mental health, and support and improve the mental and emotional wellness of all Â鶹´«Ã½s.&²Ô²ú²õ±è;We lead mental well-being initiatives focused on prevention, resiliency skill building, and access to support services. We coordinate Mental Health First Aid, safeTALK, self-care workshops, and other mental health trainings for faculty, staff, and Â鶹´«Ã½s. These workshops focus on recognizing signs of mental distress, managing stress, mindful mental health, and connecting to resources. We also facilitate Â鶹´«Ã½-led events with campus community partners such as Mental Health Awareness Week.

Our Mental Health Peer Educators facilitate Â鶹´«Ã½-led events and empower Â鶹´«Ã½s while working diligently to normalize mental wellness for college Â鶹´«Ã½s. They create space for Â鶹´«Ã½s to brainstorm and collaborate in fun and meaningful ways to educate the WMU community about mental health and well-being through interactive programming.
