School of Communication at WMU
The School of Communication at Â鶹´«Ã½ provides educational Â鶹´«Ã½ to approximately 800 undergraduate majors, 150 undergraduate minors and 30 graduate Â鶹´«Ã½s in addition to supporting active research programs in digital media and journalism; film, video, and media; interpersonal communication; strategic communication; and communication studies.
We are committed to the research and advanced study of the art and science of communication in a way that integrates theory and practice. In our scholarship and teaching we seek to promote a culture that values diverse perspectives and emphasizes the ethical implications of communication.

Mission
The School of Communication is committed to excellence in teaching, learning, scholarship and the practice of communication. As teacher-scholars, our purpose is two-fold: Develop reflective and skilled communicators who value diversity, community, ethics and critical thinking; and contribute to the research and practice of our discipline with an emphasis on collaboration with local, regional, national and international partners to examine organizational, community, educational and social issues.
Vision
The School of Communication will be a nationally recognized center of excellence for Communication instruction, scholarship and creative activity.
