Strategic Sourcing Superstar
The fundamentals of supply chain management—obtaining resources, managing supplies, and delivering goods and services—are important for any business, but especially when that business is healthcare. As a surgery contract specialist for Bronson, Jared Coleman makes sure healthcare workers have exactly what they need so they can focus on prioritizing patients.
Responsible for more than $20 million in annual spending for surgical units that include general and robotic surgery, cardiac and vascular operations, anesthesiology and more, Coleman’s goal is to identify cost savings Â鶹´«Ã½ while also maximizing quality and patient care. His role has become especially critical during COVID-19, as he now manages procurement of personal protective equipment and other pandemic supplies.
Additionally, Coleman serves as co-chair for Bronson’s surgery value analysis committee. In this role, he has helped break down supply chain silos and ensure optimal treatment through standardization and clinical collaboration.
